I have no idea about you but I have no habit of thinking of one thing, twice. Little things make a vast difference and we have already seen with our life experiences.
When life moves faster than ever and our brain cannot catch it up, then it becomes a necessity to make use of some tools to ensure you stay organized.
In this post, I will be mentioning such great tools to stay organized. Let me tell you that you should not try to adopt all because some of the tools do the same things so please choose one and use it to organize yourself.
If one tool doesn’t suit you, then go for another but it is very important for you to know that these tools only help in organizing, the work to be done actually, is still your baby.
If you are like many others who forget password often, then this tool is for you. It is very easy to use and you only have to remember just ONE password. What a relief! Isn’t?
By just typing in the master password you are able to log in automatically into any website, on a condition that you have saved its login credentials. The beauty is that all the passwords are synchronized in the cloud so all your devices will display the same information.
Remember the Milk, is an application that is great for all your to-do lists which I know are filling up every day, day by day. It allows you to prioritize the tasks and mark them complete. You can use it on any device of your choice and it synchronize with various platforms.
It also is able to send you a tweet reminder. This is one of my favourites.
This really is a sane box and not the insane box. It helps you to determine the importance of each email in your inbox and move unimportant emails out of the inbox folder. They do also have folders like SaneTomorrow, SaneNextWeek and SaneBlackHole.
If you want to get reminder tomorrow then put email in the SaneTomorrow and likewise for SaneNextWeek.
If you do not want to see spam messages, then put them into SaneBlackHole.
It is a tool that allows you to focus on what’s important for you. Use it to your maximum and gain an advantage over others by organizing yourself.
If you keep track of your time while working on something, then this is perfect for you. It is a time-tracking application and allows you to manage your precious time. If you easily lose track of your time doing a certain task then use Yast and get back on track for time management.
If you are working in a group or on a project then Basecamp is your best choice. You can keep track of your files, discussions, and events.
Evernote is overwhelmingly popular with all walks of life.
It’s like one giant bulletin board for all of your ideas where you can save links, images, text, audio, you name it. You can even share your ideas/projects with other people.
I don’t know about you, but I mostly use Dropbox on a daily basis.
You can share images, videos, and documents, of any size, with anyone, anywhere. No more sitting in front of the computer waiting for large files to send via email.
TeuxDeux (My Favourite)
Online managing of the tasks and to-dos with clean and very simple designed TeuxDeux.
The beauty, besides its minimal red and black design, is that they sync together.
So, add to your list while you’re on the go and see it later when you’re back at home in front of the computer, or vice versa.
With the PocketMod, you can carry around the days’ notes, keep them organized in any way you wish, then easily transfer the notes to your PDA, spreadsheet, or planner.
The PocketMod is a small book with guides on each page. These guides or templates, combined with a unique folding style, enable a normal piece of paper to become the ultimate note card.
A notepad and a pen – You do not need a link here but instead a notepad and pen.
The idea is to get everything out of your head and into your Getting Things Done system so that you will not have to worry about specifically remembering anything.
I hope this list will help you to get and stay organized.
In case you find or stumble upon any new or un-mentioned tool to organize ourselves, then please feel free to share it in comments.
